Are the libraries consolidated?
The KSU Library System is officially consolidated, which means all library systems are currently up and running. Former SPSU faculty, staff, and students can now checkout items from the Sturgis Library. KSU faculty, staff, and students can now checkout items from the Johnson Library. However, due to consolidation, some of our database access will change, and we are experiencing some technical issues with our catalog and request functions. We are making updates as soon as possible, and we appreciate your patience.
All KSU faculty, staff, and students (including former SPSU patrons) should now be able to access their library account and make GIL Express and ILL requests using their NetID and Password. If you are unable to logon for some reason, or are getting an error message when you input your NetID and password in the system, please contact UITS.
USG patrons (patrons from other Georgia institutions) can still come in and check out materials, and you should also be able to make requests through GIL.
Interlibrary Loan is also ready for requests from outside patrons, as well as KSU patrons.
ARCHE members can also be accomodated as normal at this time.
Faculty trying to renew your books or inquiring about expired accounts:
You are most likely unable to renew because your status in the Library's system "expires" May 5th. You will not be able to renew anything beyond that date, and all faculty members status expires on this day. You will need to speak with someone about updating your status before you can renew the items you have checked-out. This means library staff will confirm that you are still an active affiliate of the university.
You must bring your items in to the library to renew your items for the full academic year renewal period.
