Can I place a book on hold for pickup?
No. Due to limited staff, we are unable to pull books from our shelves and hold them for patrons. Books on the shelf are first come, first serve.
If a book is checked out, we can notify you when it is returned and you will be the next person in line for the book. To do so, please stop by the Sturgis Library Check Out Desk or call 470-578-6202 or the Johnson Library Check Out Desk or call 470-578-7276 and we will place it on hold for you.
Unfortunately, you cannot put a hold on a book yourself; you'll need to contact the Check Out Desk. Once the book is returned, we will place it on the hold shelf under your name. You will receive an email through your KSU email, and you can come pick it up at the Check Out Desk with your current KSU ID.
If we do not have the book you need you can order the book from another library in the University System of Georgia via GIL Express or request it to be sent to you from either Johnson Library or Sturgis Library via ILL.
