Question

Q: How much are overdue fines?

Answer

Library Fine Policies

The KSU Library System no longer charges overdue fines for library materials. Items that are lost or damaged will still be subject to replacement fees. Please return or renew your materials before the due date to avoid lost fees.

Additional Information

  • Requested and recalled items cannot be renewed.
  • Delinquent accounts may result in an administrative hold that could prevent registration for future terms and possibly graduation.
  • See our Lost Books FAQ for information about lost book fines and fees. To renew your items or speak with circulation staff about any questions you have regarding items on your account, please contact the Sturgis Library at 470-578-6202 or the Johnson Library at 470-578-7276.

Annual renewals for faculty

  • KSU faculty and staff have a checkout period of one year for KSU books.
  • All KSU books are due each year on August 31.
  • Similar to technology on campus, the KSU Libraries need to inventory all library property once a year. This includes books checked out to faculty and staff.
  • You may check out the books again for one year after returning them to the library check out desks.
  • Books cannot be renewed online.
