Q: Am I able to check out an iPad from the Library?

Answer

Yes, the Sturgis Library (Kennesaw) purchased 10 iPads for use by currently-enrolled KSU students!

Like the laptops that we circulate for in-library use, currently-enrolled KSU students can check out an iPad from the Check Out Desk for up to four hours of use in the Library. The iPads cannot be removed from the Library. After four hours, you will be charged a $10 late fee. After your time is up, to renew an iPad for an additional four hours you must bring it back to the Check Out Desk. You will only be able to renew it if no one is waiting to check one out.

All of our iPads are 3rd Generation with 16GB of memory. When you check an iPad out you also receive a USB cable, a power adapter and a protective case. All items must be brought back together when you return your iPad.

Keep in mind that you cannot log-in with your iTunes account on the iPads.

Please DO NOT save files to the iPads. You should either email your documents to yourself or save them to a cloud service such as DropBox or Google Drive. The Library is not responsible for any files that you lose while using the iPads or upon returning it. Every time an iPad is returned, the memory is wiped clean and all saved and downloaded files are deleted.
