Q: Can someone else check out a book on my behalf?
Only KSU faculty members can designate another KSU user with the ability to borrow or receive library materials on their behalf. Faculty members can request that another KSU user be able to borrow items for them by filling out the Faculty Extended Borrowing Privileges Authorization Form (available on the KSU Library System Policy Page). The designated user will need to bring both their KSU ID and the faculty member's KSU ID to the Check Out Desk when retrieving borrowed materials. The Faculty Extended Borrowing Privileges Authorization Form extends only to KSU and GIL Express materials.
If you would like your designated borrower to retrieve materials requested through Interlibrary Loan, authorization must be granted by the Interlibrary Loan Office (firstname.lastname@example.org or 470-578-6002).
KSU students, staff, and community members cannot grant another user permission to borrow or receive materials on their behalf.
