Question

Q: Does the library buy DVDs?

Answer

The KSU Library System generally does not purchase DVDs.

Streaming media is the preferred format for audiovisual materials, because it is a sustainable format that ensures immediate and long-term access for the students, faculty, and staff of Kennesaw State University. Collection Development Services makes selection decisions based on resource reviews, librarian endorsements, faculty requests, and curricular focus, and also carefully evaluates requests on a case-by-case basis.

If you have a suggestion for any type of material, including audiovisual materials, please fill out the purchase request form.

For more information about the KSU Library System's purchasing decisions, please review the Collection Development Policy.
