Q: What is a subject directory?
Subject directories are similar to search engines, except instead of robots populating the content, human editors take on the task of reviewing and selecting sites for inclusion.
The University of South Carolina Library has a great explanation of what a subject directory is, how it works, and what it does. They also include links and several examples.
An example that we have created is our Databases by Subject and Type. Your KSU librarians have taken the time to curate these lists to give you the most relevant and reliable databases by subject.
