Question

Q: I'm a faculty member looking for grant funding. Where do I start?

Answer

Try looking in Pivot (formerly known as Community of Science) to find grant opportunities. Pivot helps researchers find funding opportunities quickly, and aids with collaboration.

Here are some ways that Pivot can help with funding opportunities:

  • Provides funding opportunities for a variety of disciplines (not just science)
  • Provides access to the most comprehensive source of funding opportunities globally
  • Identifies researcher expertise from within or outside of your organization
  • Enhances communication, monitoring, and tracking amongst individual faculty, teams, or researchers and the Research Development office
  • Allows the focus to be on winning the necessary awards and grants
  • Enables you to add internal deadlines to critical funding opportunities and sends weekly updates on saved searches you organize in your own folders
  • Create groups for sharing funding opportunities on an ongoing basis

For more information about finding grant funding opportunities, contact Cheryl Stiles, Head of Graduate Library Services.
