Q: How do I find empirical articles in PsycINFO?

Most databases will provide you with some options for limiting your results. Some of the more common limiters include options for Peer Reviewed, Full-Text, and Date Range. Most do not provide a limiter for empirical articles.

PsychINFO DOES provide a limiter (an option you can select) to limit your results only to Empirical Research.  You can find PsychINFO in the "Find a Database" link on the Library Homepage.

In PsycINFO, try looking under the "Advanced" search and limiting your searches by Methodology to Empirical Study.

For more information check out the "Finding Empirical Articles" research guide. You can find this guide on the library homepage under the Research Guides tab.
