Q: Why can't I log in to a computer or access library resources from off campus?


You will need your NetID and password to log in to any computer on campus or to access library resources from off campus. Your NetID can be found on your student ID card. Your password is the same password used for your student e-mail, D2L Brightspace and Owl Express.

If you are not registered for classes, your NetID may not work.


If it is the first two weeks of classes, it is likely you are not in our system. The library must wait until after the add/drop period has passed (2 weeks after class has started) for our systems to be automatically updated. You CAN go to any library Check Out Desk, present your ID, and the staff can manually add you to the system.

Try this:

Activate your Net ID.  You must go to to activate your NetID. The ability to set up your password and NetID is available 24-48 hours after you have been fully admitted to the university.

Test your NetID and password. Go to Login with your NetID and password. If you are successful, you will be logged in to the NetID Services page. If you need assistance, contact University Information Technology Services (UITS) at 470-578-3555, by e-mail at, or in person at the Kennesaw Campus Technology Annex (Building #361)  or Marietta Campus Lower Level H Building.
