Question

Q: How can I see if the library has a book I'm looking for?

Answer

You can search for books owned by the KSU libraries in our library catalog. You can get to the catalog by clicking the "Books" tab on the library homepage.

You can search for books by keyword on the "Books" tab. To search by title, author, or subject, click "Advanced Search" underneath the search bar.

Title Search:

  1. Change "Any" to "In the title"
  2. Change "contains" to "is (exact)"
  3. Type the title in the search box

Author Search:

  1. Change "Any" to "In the title"
  2. Change "contains" to "is (exact)"
  3. Type the author's name in the search box

Subject/Topic Search (Basic):

  1. Change "Any" to "In the title"
  2. Change "contains" to "is (exact)"
  3. Type the subject in the search box
  4. Use the "Refine My Results" menu to narrow the subject more

If the library does not have the book, you can try requesting it from another library. Click here for more information about requesting books from other libraries.
