Q: Why do I need to log in when I'm on campus?

Answer

In order to ensure access to all our databases both on- and off- campus, patrons are asked to log in to either OpenAthens or the KSU proxy server. Without providing one of these two options in our database lists, users would not be able to access resources off campus. 

Because patrons need a NetID to log in to OpenAthens or the proxy server, only users with a valid KSU NetID will be able to use most of the databases. Visitors using guest computers can access some databases with an OpenAthens guest account. Please visit the check-out desk for instructions.
