Q: Why do I need to log in to the KSU proxy server when I'm on campus?

Answer

In order to ensure access to all of our databases, you are now asked to log in to the KSU proxy server to access all library resources. This is how we have been able to offer off-campus access to our databases, so you won't notice a change if you are using library resources from off-campus.

On-campus users will need to log in to use databases, whether they are using a KSU computer or the KSU wireless. Because you need a NetID to log in to the proxy server, only users with valid KSU NetIDs will be able to use most of our databases.

Visitors using our guest computers are currently not able to access library databases.

If you are a current KSU student and your NetID is not working, please follow these steps to check your NetID. If your NetID is not working, contact University Information Technology Services (UITS):

  • By phone at 470-578-3555
  • By e-mail at studenthelpdesk@kennesaw.edu
  • In person at the Kennesaw CampusTechnology Annex (Building #361) or Marietta Campus Lower Level H Building.
