While advance notice about taking graduation pictures in the library is not required, it is appreciated.
Please contact librarycirculation@kennesaw.edu to let us know when you plan to come. By doing this, we can confirm our opening hours as well as if there are any events that may conflict with your session. Please follow the following rules for graduation pictures:
Please check in with a staff member at the front check out desk prior to taking photos.
Please refrain from using any University Libraries books or any other equipment for photo props. However, you may use your own.
Use simple shoots like natural lighting while in the stacks area.
No lighting stands or any other professional photography equipment such as reflectors, orb speedlite kits, or any other heavy advanced equipment are allowed.
Please use a low voice while in the stacks area where other students may be studying.
Any violations of these guidelines will result in ending your photo session and you will be asked to leave the library.
Class Projects or Professional Shoots
Advance notice and approval are required for class projects or professional shoots. Please contact librarycirculation@kennesaw.edu with the following information to begin the approval process:
When you want to film and for how long
Where in the building you wish to film
How many people are a part of the shoot
What equipment you will be bringing
Does the project involve talking (photo shoot vs filming)
Failing to get prior approval will result in ending your photo session and you will be asked to leave the library.
