Question

Q: What services does the Library System offer for retirees or Emeritus Faculty?

Answer

KSU Retirees

Computing:

Retirees can use guest computers in each of our libraries (2 hour limit). All other computers are for KSU student use. Retirees cannot access library resources from off-campus. Most digital resources are only available to employed faculty/staff per licensing restrictions.

Borrowing Privileges:

If retirees are Georgia residents, they may request a community borrower's card which provides limited borrowing privileges to the general collection. These privileges do not include borrowing services such as Interlibrary Loan (ILL) and GIL Express.

Emeritus Faculty

In addition to benefits offered from the Kennesaw State University Retirees Association, Emeritus Faculty continue to have the borrowing privileges of full time faculty, including the ability to request books through ILL and GIL. Emeritus Faculty also retain access to library databases and journals off campus using their NetIDs and Passwords.
