Question

Q: How do I find empirical articles in PsycINFO?

Answer

Most databases will provide you with some options for limiting your results. Some common limiters include filtering results by whether they have been peer-reviewed, contain the full text, and/or were published within a specified Date Range.

PsycINFO provides a limiter to filter your results only to Empirical Research. You can find PsycINFO through the "Find a Database" link on the Library Homepage.

In PsycINFO, navigate to "Advanced" search and select "Empirical Study" listed under the "Methodology" section.

For more information check out the "Finding Empirical Articles" research guide. You can find this guide on the library homepage under the Research Guides tab.
