Q: What data analytical software does KSU have for faculty, staff, and students?
KSU offers the following analytical software for faculty, staff, and students:
SPSS Statistics v.24
SPSS, Statistical Package for the Social Science, originally designed and used for quantitative data analysis in social sciences. Now it is also popular in other fields such as health science, business, and marketing.
NOTE - All campus desktop computers have access to SPSS for currently-enrolled students. However, the library laptops, available to check out, do not have access to SPSS.
To access SPSS on a campus desktop computer do the following:
- Log onto any campus computer with your NetID and password
- Click on the Start Menu and select All Programs
- Select the KSU Distributed Applications folder
- Select the SPSS folder and open the program
SPSS is not available off-campus to the general student body. Individual professors may work with UITS to make SPSS available off campus for specific courses. If your professor has made such arrangements, you should contact your professor or UITS with any questions.
