Q: I'm a faculty member at KSU. Why can't I renew my books?

Answer

Books checked out by faculty must be renewed each August

Items owned by the KSU Libraries are checked out for a full academic year and include two automatic renewals. If you are a faculty or staff member and have had your books for three academic years, you will need to physically bring them to the checkout desk at either Johnson Library in Marietta or Sturgis Library in Kennesaw. Our staff will then check them back out to you for another year. 

Faculty and staff members should be able to renew GIL Express books online. Renewals for interlibrary loan books are determined by the lending library.

Library accounts for faculty and staff members expire in the library system every year in August and are renewed when Banner is updated. If the renewal date seems incorrect, please contact the library-- sometimes our system expiration dates do not match up with school dates.
