Question

Q: Can I check out books in between semesters?

Answer

Between semesters

Students are allowed to check out books in between sessions as long as you have registered for the next semester. We will check the registration system to make sure you're registered before checking out any books to you.  As always, you will need your Talon Card to check out any items.

KSU faculty and staff may also check out material between semesters.

Summer semester

KSU students who are registered for the summer semester may check out library materials over the summer. Students who are not registered for the summer semester, but are registered for fall semester may also check out library materials during summer. These students must call or come to the library checkout desk to have their library account updated.

If you are not registered for the summer, then some services that require you to use your NetID, like printing, may not work.

KSU faculty and staff who are in good standing may also check out library materials over the summer.

GIL Express and Interlibrary Loan services may be limited during breaks. Please check our homepage or contact us at the numbers below for more information.
